What are the methods of packaging box printing?
1. Flat printing: A great feature of the lithography machine is that the graphic part and the non-graphic part are on the same plane. Lithography is an indirect printing method. The ink is first printed on the rubber cylinder, and then printed on the wrapping paper by the pressure roller. Since the printing plate does not come into direct contact with the paper, the ink does not smudge, making it ideal for high-quality packaging. Color box printing, even if the paper flatness is poor, there is a chance to overcome it, the plate making work is easy, and the cost is low.
2. Gravure printing: Gravure printing is a printing method that fills ink into a gravure pattern. Gravure printing can present the characteristics of fine layers, bright colors, high saturation, high plate durability, stable printing quality, and fast printing speed, which is very suitable for printing business cards. At the same time, the ink dries quickly after printing, so it is also suitable for printing a large number of color magazines and leaflets. The disadvantage is that the pre-press plate-making technology is complicated, the cycle is long, and the plate-making cost is high.
3. Screen printing: Screen printing is a method of hollowing out the graphics and text on the printing plate to transfer the ink through the mesh. When the printing surface is a curved surface such as bottles and cans, or when there are special technical requirements such as floating effects, screen printing is often used.
4. Letterpress printing: letterpress printing is a printing method in which the protruding graphic part is immersed in ink, and the ink on the printing plate is directly printed on the paper through pressure. Because the printing plate is in direct contact with the paper, it will leave dents or edges when the ink is thick, the lines are beautiful, it is not easy to be imitated, and it gives people a strong impression. It is often used in matte paper and other comic magazines. Due to the high cost of plate making and printing, general box printing is rarely used.
